AmerRuss Blade Arts   Damascus Serpent Dagger $16,500

Being a collaboration between master bladesmith, J D Smith, and jeweler, Joseph Shnayder,

this extraordinary work of art starts with 15N20 and 1084 steels forged to shape into a 7 1/2

inch, double-edged blade of finely and intricately patterned damascus. Three-dimensionally

carved and sculpted damascus quillion and pommel. Carved diamond-pattern African

blackwood grip with solid silver mounts encrusted with brilliant-cut diamonds and cabochon

garnets. Hand wrought sheath of solid silver being pairs of intertwined serpents on each side,

all with ruby eyes and bordered with acanthus-engraved edges, studded with diamonds at each

intersection. Cabochon garnets at tip. Overall length: 14 inches. Materials used, as listed by the

makers, include Blade: 15N20, 1084 steels, and modified "Turkish ribbon" core, high density

"WS" edges. Silver: 11.29 oz. Rubies: 8 round faceted, 0.64 carats total. Diamonds: 159 round

brilliant, 6.43 carats total. Garnets: 6 pear-shaped Mozambique cabochon. Handle: African

blackwood. In red velvet, satin and tan leather-lined case. Completed in 2011 and in new

condition.

  Steve Brooks, Butte, Montana Damascus Bowie $995

7 3/4 inch ladder-pattern damascus blade with tapered tang and file-cut spine. Damascus

quillion. 12 3/4 inch overall length. Antler scales retained by four steel pins. Number 0622 H

standing for Brooks' 22nd knife of 2006 and Hand tempered. With form-fitting leather sheath

numbered to the knife. New condition.

    Steve Brooks, Butte, Montana Damascus Bowie $995

6 inch ladder-pattern damascus blade with clip-point, false edge and tapered tang. Damascus

quillion. 11 inch overall length. Smooth, burled walnut scales retained by four brass pins.

Number 0619 H standing for Brooks' 19th knife of 2005 and Hand tempered. With form-fitting

leather sheath numbered to the knife. New condition.

4 inch ladder-pattern damascus blade with tapered tang and file-cut spine. Damascus guard. 8 3/4

inch overall length. Smooth walnut scales retained by three steel. Lanyard loop. Number 0803

H standing for Brooks' 3rd knife of 2003 and Hand tempered. With form-fitting leather sheath

numbered to the knife. New condition.

5 inch ladder-pattern damascus blade with tapered tang and file-cut spine. 10 1/4 inch overall

length. Smooth, figured walnut scales retained by five brass pins. Number 0901 H standing for

Brooks' first knife of 2009 and Hand tempered. With form-fitting leather sheath numbered to the

knife. New condition.

2 1/2" irridescent blue-straw finished, double-edged damascus dagger blade with opening stud.

File-cut steel frame with damascus bolsters and fossil mammoth ivory scales. Filecut

mainspring. Gold screws. 6 1/4" OAL. 3 5/8" closed. Signed WC on back edge of blade. New

condition.

2 5/8" blade of damascus steel with armadillo-inlaid opening stud. File-cut, straw-colored steel

frame. Damascus bolsters bearing integrally forged image of an armadillo on both sides.

  Zaza K. Revishvili Damascus Exhibition Dagger $6,450

7 1/4" blade of fine, blued, damascus steel and with full-length false-edge forged by Russian

blacksmith, Lev Aldokhin and ground to final shape by Zaza Revishvili. Solid silver bolsters

engraved with three-dimensional acanthus leaves and vines and lanyard loop on pommel.

Sculptured ebony grip with matching acanthus relief-carving. Overall length: 13 3/8".

Replacement cost, $12,000. New condition.

3 1/2" blade of damascus steel with maker's name flush-inlaid in gold. Tapered tang. Ivory grips

with subtle bas-relief carving and scrimshaw scroll integrated with bolster engraving, retained

by four steel pins. Blade-extension lanyard loop. Floral scroll engraved bolster by Julie

Warenski and with gold-beaded borderlines. Overall length: 8 1/2". Form-fitting, scroll

5 1'2" clip-point blade of polished steel. Gnarly stag scales secured with two rivets. Fabulous

deep-chiseled rose blossom engraving covering exposed edges of tang and sides of quillion.

5" overall length, closed. Brass frame with stag scales, nickle-silver thong loop and narrow

escutcheon. 3 1/2" primary blade, gut hook, slot-piercer, screwdriver, corkscrew, awl and

punch, all hinged. Prick and tweezers insert into end of frame.

Steel with ivory thick scales, German silver folding lanyard loop and vacant silver escutcheon. 4

7/8" main lockback blade, 2 further blades, tweezers, prick, scissors, 3-piece measuring tape,

saw blade, file, can opener, button hook, awl, fingernail file, corkscrew and auger. 6 1/4" overall

length, closed. 11 1/4", open. Some age cracks in ivory. Fine condition.
    Ott, Guebwiller, France Antique Combination Folding Knife $1,595

3 3/4" main blade, 2" rope blade, 1 7/8" penknife, hoof pick, screwdriver, saw, corkscrew, awl,

punch, toothpick and tweezers. Brass-lined steel frame. Ivory scales. German silver bolsters.
