Cogswell & Harrison Sidelock Ejector 12ga, 2 1/2" $4,650

25" SxS chopper-lump barrels choked improved cylinder and modified. 14

1/2"pull from front trigger to striated wood butt, 1 1/2" - 2 1/4"drop, 3/8"

cast-off. Figured walnut stock with straight English grip, Anson

pushbutton-release splinter forend, teardrops and vacant silver oval.

Southgate ejectors. Rose & scroll engraved receiver. Weight: 6lbs, 7oz. Nitro

proofed for 1 1/8oz. Refinished, but excellent mechanically: mirror bright

bores ring like chimes, Dead tight on the face even with the forend removed,

minimum wall thickness .029 inches, sound wood.

Holloway & Naughton Premier Model Sidelock Ejector 12ga, 2 3/4" $49,750

30" O/U chopper-lump barrels of EN19T steel with narrow solid flat hand-

matted rib, choked improved cylinder & improved modified. 13 1/2"pull

from single non-selective trigger to checkered wood butt. 1 5/8" - 2 5/8"

drop. 1/4" cast-off. Exhibition Turkish walnut stock with straight English

grip, Anson-pushbutton-release Boss-type reinforced field forend, classic

wrap-around point-pattern checkering with mullered borders, teardrops, and

gold oval. Coin finished, sculptured, shallow action with bifurcated lumps,

back-action sidelocks with intercepting sears, gold line cocking indicators,

hold-open toplever and manual safety with SAFE inlaid in gold. Engraved

with well cut shaded acanthus scroll and with game scenes of dogs and birds

on locks, underside of receiver and triggerguard bow, signed B J Wiseman.

"Holloway & Naughton" inlaid in gold on triggerguard tang. Weight: 7lbs,

7oz. Built in Leicestershire, England in 2000. Excellent condition. Breech

face shows very little evidence of having been fired. Fine English VC leather

case with stitched leather corners, gold embossed black leather maker's trade

label, 2-piece ebony and brass cleaning rod, leather wallet containing

brushes and mops, pair of maker's snap caps and round oil bottle. A

prodigious amount of work building this, the first production 12 gauge

over&under by this company. Current retail for this, their finest model, starts

at 67,000 UK pounds without custom engraving, English VAT or US

import costs.

30" SxS barrels with 8 Teague interchangeable choke tubes. 14 3/8"pull from

front trigger to solid black pad. Leather-covered, fully adjustable comb.

Fully figured walnut stock by Malcolm Cruxton with steel-capped pistol

grip, beavertail forend with recessed Anson pushbutton release, teardrops

and gold escutcheon bearing monogram of original owner William Freitas.

Acanthus scroll engraved by Johnny Beech with maker's name in gold, doll's

head and third fastener, bushed firing pins and manual safety. Double-

beaded, long-tang triggerguard inlaid with gold pigeon. Color casehardening

by Ray St. Ledger. Weight: 8lbs, 6oz. London nitro proofed for 1 1/4oz

loads in 1982. Retaining 99% blue, 90% case colors. Pictured, cover,

Sporting Gun Oct 1982. Construction of this gun discussed extensively in

Don Masters' book, The House of Churchill, pp 464 - 472.

1/8"drop. 1/2" cast-off. Straight-grained English walnut stocks with Anson-

pushbutton-release splinter forends, straight English grips, classic point-

pattern checkering, teardrops and silver ovals. Scroll engraved receivers with

rib-extension third fasteners and automatic safeties with SAFE in gold. In

separate leather trunk cases. Weights: 5lbs, 8oz. Built 1935. Excellent bores

and mechanical condition, tight and in proof. 95% barrel blue, 75%

casehardening colors.

to pad, 1 5/8" - 2 5/8"drop, 3/8" cast-on. Half grip & splinter forend with

Deeley pull-down latch. Light scroll engraved. Greener crossbolt. Weight:

6lbs, 6oz. Built ca 1895. London black powder proofed. All metalwork

99% reblue. Minimum barrel wall thickness: .018" --- sold as a collector's

item only.

choked cylinder & modified, 14 3/4"pull from articulated front trigger to

checkered butt, 1 1/2" - 2 1/8"drop, 1/4" cast-off. Figured walnut stock with

straight English grip and splinter forend with Anson pushbutton release.

Scalloped, coin-finished receiver with Westley Richards-type hand-

detachable locks, fine scroll engraved by Gianmarco Sabatti. SAFE in gold.

Weight: 6lbs, 3oz. Built in 1987 by Abbiatico & Salvinelli---their "Tribute"

model, for William Powell of Birmingham. Both Italian and Birmingham

proofed. In leather trunk case with Powell trade label. 99%+blue.  

Westley Richards Droplock Ejector 12ga, 2 1/2" $11,750

30" SxS chopper-lump barrels of Whitworth fluid compressed steel with

smooth concave rib choked improved cylinder and full. 14 7/8"pull from

front trigger to checkered horn buttplate, 1 3/4" - 2 1/4" drop, 1/4" cast-off.

Lightly figured walnut stock with horn-tipped Deeley-release splinter forend,

straight English grip, classic point-pattern checkering with mullered borders

and vacant silver oval. Fine-scroll-engraved, scalloped-back, droplock action

with active dolls' head third fastener, automatic ejectors and automatic safety

with SAFE in gold. Action Patent Use Number: 321. Weight: 6lbs, 8oz.

Built ca 1903 and London nitro reproofed in 1985. 99%+ proper London

reblacked barrels, traces of original casehardening colors. Tight and with

excellent bores. In maker's oak & leather trunk case with proper labels.
