19" tapered round barrel with one-piece integral full-band front sight base and muzzle cap, quarter rib and 1 standing express sight gold inlaid 100 yards. Fully stocked to the muzzle by Gary Goudy with prominently straight-grained European walnut: inletted custom Heilmann swivel bases---pedestalled at the rear, beaded pancake cheekpiece, flush-fitting inletted floorplate, skeleton pistol grip cap and buttplate---both checkered within and a tour-de-force of ribbon and fleur-de-lys detail checkering. Shortened, double-squarebridge Springfield 1903 action by Steve Heilmann: fully custom bottom metal with hinged floorplate and release inside triggerguard, Timney trigger mechanism with custom sculptured lever, casehardened cocking piece with Wisner Model 70-type safety and Talley base geometry machined directly into the squarebridges. Extensively engraved by Sam Welch: fine English rose & scroll on front sight, quarter rib, breech, all furniture, and multi-color gold whitetail buck on grey-etched floorplate; all accented with flush gold borderlines; the names of each the artisan-craftsmen engraved on the skeleton grip cap. Leupold vari-X III 2.5-8x scope on Tally QD rings that fit directly to the receiver without separate bases. Pull: 13 1/2". Weight: 6lbs, 6oz without scope, 7lbs, 5oz with. In Huey full-length oak & leather trunk case with engraved Pendleton knife, Dixon silver-plated oil bottle, cleaning rod, brush and leather-trimmed canvas overcase. Built 1991.
