Varmint Rifle
Varmint Rifle - A relatively heavy rifle with a relatively heavy barrel, firing a relatively small-bore, high-velocity bullet, with precision optical sights and great accuracy, (often single-shot), not generally carried very far but for shooting from a still emplacement, used to kill vermin such as prairie dogs and gophers at considerable distance with no thought to harvesting the meat.
