Two consecutive sets SxS chopper-lump barrels with flat hand-matted ribs,

large ivory front bead and fine steel middle bead. 28" barrels choked

modified & improved modified. 26" barrels choked cylinder & improved

cylinder. 14 1/2" pull from single trigger to leather covered pad. 1 5/8" - 2

1/2" drop. 1/4" cast-off. Highly figured Circassian walnut stock with straight

English grip, Anson-release beavertail forend, classic point-pattern

checkering with mullered borders and teardrops. Extra Finish Purdey rose &

scroll engraving and with deep-chiseled acanthus scroll fences by Ken Hunt

and "Green Man" engraved on underside of receiver. Bushed firing pins,

cocking indicators and automatic safety with SAFE in gold. Weight: 7lbs,

3oz. Original London proof for 2 3/4" cartridges. Built 1959. Retaining

99%+barrel blue and 95% casehardening colors. Mechanically fine, in proof,

with tight action and excellent bores. With Purdey email confirming

specification. In maker's leather trunk case with cleaning accessories and

spare firing pins in horn bottle. And, with Americase airline travel case with
