24" tapered octagon-to-round barrel with island-mounted dovetailed

beaded-blade front sight and with 1 standing and 2 folding matted and gold-

lined express sights in dovetailed island mount. Fully figured European

walnut stocks by James Corpe with horn Alex Henry forend, flat sidepanels,

classic point-pattern checkering with mullered borders, horn pistol grip cap,

double-beaded pancake cheekpiece, vacant silver initial oval, and

checkered horn buttplate. Ruger No.1 action extensively reworked by John

Madole: Dan'l Fraser-type sidelever, conversion from coil to leaf mainspring,

flat-front action face without the Ruger bulge, small-ring triggerguard,

sculpture trigger with dainty scroll detail at rear, registered screws, and

custom hand-checkered non-rattling safety. Engraved J. Madole on barrel

flat. Pull: 13 1/2". Weight: 7lbs. 0oz. Completed January 1989. New condition.

One of only three sidelever conversions by John Madole. Crisp.
