23 1/2" tapered round barrel with full matted rib raising at muzzle for beaded-

blade front sight, with 1 standing and 1 folding leaf rear sight, and with sling

swivel. Fully figured European walnut stock with classic borderless point-

pattern checkering, flat sidepanels ivory-inlaid with oakleaves and acorns,

flush walnut-capped recoil crossbolt, skeleton pistol grip cap checkered

within, double-beaded pancake cheekpiece, rear swivel and widow's-peaked

skeleton buttplate---also checkered within. Carl Gustaf small-ring Mauser

action with checkered spoon bolt handle, checkered thumb-tab bolt stop,

Model 70-type safety, lever-release floorplate, double-set triggers, and

tanged shotgun-type triggerguard. Pull 14 5/8". Weight: 7lbs, 1 1/2oz.   $4995.

 I am sure that this one was Al's and my first serious collaboration together. I am sure that I did all of the metal work on this except I think the barrel was from an old Mauser or Sauer rifle and was re-bored by Jim DuBell, but I am a bit fuzzy about that. I believe I cut the dovetail in the rib for the rear sight. And, I know that Ross Billingsley did the bolt stop box work in his style. I know I put the bottom metal together with the shot gun trigger guard and double set triggers and the floorplate release, also the Dakota safety. I did all of the metal polish and rust bluing, nitre bluing and any color casehardening. I also did the caliber marking on the barrel.

Al went hunting in Sweden (we both are Swedish in heritage) for Moose and I believe he took this rifle.
