36" tapered smoothbore bronze barrel with touch hole, integral trunnions and slotted cascabel; 4 1/4" diameter at muzzle; 6 5/16" diameter at breech. Mahogany naval carriage with bronze mountings and 4-lever elevation capstan. Vertically through-bolted cap squares. 8" diameter iron-rimmed solid wooden wheels on 2 1/4" diameter solid bronze full-width axles. 18" overall height, measured with barrel horizontal. Maker's name on bronze cap squares. Weight: approx 300 lbs. Belongs on a Vanderbilt yacht. Absolutely magnificent. Very fine condition and with a soft patina to the bronze.  $39,750.
