Shelhamer Chinstrap

Shelhamer Chinstrap - A fillet detail in wood, wrapping around the underside of a buttstock, just behind the pistol grip where it transitions to the buttstock, proper. Although not actually invented by famed stockmaker Tom Shelhamer, his frequent use of it as a kind of signature detail has connected his name to it.
