James MacNaughton Hammer Sidelock Underlever Double Rifle   .450/400, 2 3/8" BPE

26" SxS barrels of fluid steel with flat file-cut rib, fine front bead, 1 standing & 2 folding platinum-lined express sights, 14 3/8"pull from checkered front trigger to smooth walnut butt. Figured walnut stock with beaded pancake cheekpiece, horn pistol grip cap, classic point-pattern checkering and lever-release splinter forend. Fine scroll engraved peninsula sidelock action with percussion fences, Jones underlever, long bottom tang, non-rebounding hammers and stalking safeties. Groove diameter: .408". Weight: 7lbs, 8oz. Built in 1898. Retaining 95% original barrel brown and 90% original casehardening colors.
