Description: 21" barrel with hooded full-band front sight and matted quarter rib with 2 folding leaf sights engraved for 100 and 200 yards. Stocked to the muzzle with fully figured walnut, ebony forend tip, swivel studs, gold oval, beaded cheekpiece, steel pistol grip cap and Niedner checkered steel buttplate. 13 5/8"pull. Winchester pre-'64 Model 70 action with checkered trigger, jeweled bolt and follower, 5-panel checkered bolt knob. Kollmorgen 4x scope on G&H quick-detachable sidemount. Profusely engraved and signed by Josef Fugger: 3 high-relief gold elk in a woodland scene on the floorplate, 3 gold antelope on the triggerguard, gold-inlaid acanthus scroll on the PG cap, full coverage scroll engraving on the action and scope mount, 13 inches of acanthus scroll on the barrel and both makers name and calibre inlaid in gold. Weight: 8lbs, 6oz. In full length leather trunk case.

Provenance: Built for Arthur D. Leidesdorf of New York City in 1959. Left for sale by him at Abercrombie & Fitch, New York on Aug 10, 1967. Transferred to Abercrombie & Fitch, San Francisco on Oct 1, 1969.
