Colt Officers Model Target      .38 Special     

Description: 7 1/2" barrel with adjustable sights. Flat top frame. Exhibition engraved, including sides of front sight, hammer and trigger. Checkered hammer, trigger, cylinder release, frontstrap and backstrap. Smooth mother-of-pearl grips. Period black hard case lined with purple velvet. Made for target shooter Charles H. Wilson; CHW monogram on triggerguard. Probably engraved by A O Zischang of Syracuse, New York like the one in the Colt Engraving Book, which see: Vol 2, p546. No markings under grips at all. Even-numbered serial 315000. Mfd 1909. 99%blue. Excellent bore.
